We make high-quality education, career counseling, and personal coaching accessible to homeschool families and former foster youth.
Like you, Qumran Family Foundation stands for well-educated and capable community members who are positive,impactful influences in their neighborhoods and the world at large. Quality education and effective professionalization are crucial factors in achieving these things. Therefore, we provide services that support families that are either embarking on their homeschooling journeys or looking for help in refining their processes. And since 2013, we have provided services that support former foster youth in their academic and professional endeavors.
OUR PROGRAMS
FORMER FOSTER YOUTH
Did you know? By age 18, 20% of former foster youths are homeless and by age 24, only 50% are gainfully employed. Plus, even though a greater majority of former foster youths want to go to college, less than 3% of them will ever earn a higher education degree.
Our programs and services aim to counteract these trends by direct intervention, providing critical social supports, coaching, goal setting and planning, and career counseling for former foster youths who are determined to improve their personal lives, build and access support networks, and grow professionally.

HOMESCHOOL INSTRUCTION PROGRAM
Do you strive to provide your children an outstanding, tailored educational experience that enables them to address particular interests, capabilities, and learning styles while also prioritizing family bonding, faith, travel, and more? QFF's Homeschool Instruction Program helps you do just that. We provide teaching and assessment resources, core and extra-curricular courses, one-on-one parent coaching, and customized curricula for students in pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. That's not all -- we also provide career and college counseling.

The work that we do to provide essential resources to former foster youths and homeschool families is funded exclusively by generous private donors like you. Your support funds our efforts so that we can cover all of the costs associated with services offerd to emancipated foster youths. It also allows us to provide grants to homeschool families who need help covering all or a portion of the costs associated with educating their children at home.
